recognized as an expert in strabismus surgery and pediatric ophthalmology. He has earned a strong reputation across Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and the Arab world, drawing numerous patients seeking specialized treatment.

 Renowned for his extensive experience, Dr. Ahmed has performed tens of thousands of strabismus and cataract surgeries for children, He has his own technique in using adjustable sutures for adult strabismus surgeries under topical anesthesia, highlighting his innovative and adaptable treatment options.

 Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Ahmed is a businessman in the healthcare sector, having founded the Batal Specialist Centers and the Batal Optical chain. He is also a co-founder, in partnership with Zeiss, of the largest Zeiss Vision Center globally. His passion for science led him to establish the first Myopia management clinic in the Middle East and North Africa focused on treating myopia with the latest MyoCare lenses from Zeiss, aimed at slowing myopia progression in children.

 He frequently speaks at local, regional, and international conferences, delivering lectures and training that promote knowledge sharing among his peers. Dr. Ahmed has published several research papers in esteemed medical journals in the Middle East, the UK, and the US, underscoring his commitment to advancing his field through research.

 One of his significant achievements is the creation of a unique and successful surgical technique for treating strabismus, presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) in San Francisco on April 20, 2009. In recognition of his efforts to prevent childhood blindness, he received the Leading Health Professional Certificate in 2008 from the International Center for Biology in Cambridge, UK. He also serves as an examiner and member of the executive committee for the International Council of Ophthalmology’s examinations in London, representing ophthalmologists from the Middle East and Africa.

 Additionally , Dr. Ahmed is a lecturer and examiner for the Saudi Board of Ophthalmology, where he contributes to training and educating new doctors, enhancing medical skills and expertise in the field. With his deep knowledge and passion for ophthalmology.
